Botany or phytobiology is a branch of biology that deals with the scientific study of living plants[1]. The branch of molecular biology deals with the structure and function of nucleic acids and proteins, the main molecules of all living things. The science which deals with cell, cell shape, nature, e xternal and internal structure, cell division and physiological functions etc. is called cytology.[2] Physiology deals with the physiological functions of the animal body such as nutrition, respiration, secretion, excretion, reproduction etc. Evolutionary biology is a subfield that studies the origin and evolution of species. And where the range, arrangement and abundance of living organisms and the interactions between these organisms and their interactions with other elements of the environment are discussed, it is called ecology.

Sub-disciplines of biology are defined depending on the research method employed and the type of method studied. Theoretical biology uses mathematical methods to construct quantitative models. Experimental biology, on the other hand, aims to test the validity of proposed theories, to understand the underlying processes of life and how the underlying processes work.
